Today's Card:


10 of Disks

Meaning according to the booklet:

Wealth.  Prosperity.  Creativity.  Old Age.  Influenced: Laziness.  Indifference.  Dullness of Mind

Meaning to me:

This card is one of those simple cards that end up having more meaning that I put into it.  The basic idea of wealth is simple.  Add into that the creative part of it and the prosperous part of it, and it's still pretty simple.  Right now it just means that the hard work and the sacrafice that I've put forth in the past is going to be finally rewarded.  And in a good financial way.  How that is going to happen, I don't know yet.  But time will tell.  But is it material wealth?  I already have and am thankful for the wealth of friendship and support that I have in my life currently.  And although material wealth might not make you happy, it sure the hell can't hurt.  I don't know why this saying popped into my head, but it just seems to be screaming to be put out there.  Whoever said that money can't buy happiness never bought a puppy (or in my case, paid the fees to the shelter and brought home a puppy).   

In case you are wondering about my techique for drawing.  I'm shuffling the cards the number of days of the month (today would have been 14 times, and then I pick that day in the deck (the 14th card from the top today).  Towards the end of the month, there is a lot of shuffling and counting, but it balances out.  Just seems to work for me, and that's what counts.
